How does Airbrush Tanning tan the skin?
The active ingredient in the solution is dihydroxyacetone (DHA). This compound has been used safely for years. DHA reacts with the amino acids in the top layer of the skin to produce a tan that darkens with repeated applications.
How safe is DHA?
DHA has been used safely in cosmetics for years. Many sunless tanners contain this active ingredient, but because of the formulations and the method of application it often produced an orange tint, especially on hands, feet and elbows. The airbrush method eliminates these drawbacks and gives a beautiful, even, flawless natural bronze color.
How long does Airbrush Tanning last?
Use moisturizer every 2-3 days to maintain your tan for a full 5-8 days.
Swimming and hot tub use will reduce this time.
How long does it take to Airbrush Tan?
It normally takes 15 to 20 minutes to apply a tan to your full body. Then you will need 5 to 10 minutes to allow the solution to dry completely before dressing. This ensures that no streaking will occur.
Does Airbrush Tanning provide a Sunscreen?
Airbrush Tanning does not provide SPF, therefore you will need to protect your skin from UV rays.
What if the Airbrush Tanning solution gets on clothes and hair?
No worries. The tanning solution only holds bronze color to the skin. It will not stain clothing, only synthetic or nylon materials.
